We are currently seeking a Securitization Analyst to join our Proven Solutions-Niche Solutions, Tax Accounting & Reporting for Debt Instruments (TARDI) practice. Those pursuing investment opportunities in the distressed loan, MBS and ABS markets are consistently challenged to properly address the complex tax accounting that can apply. This quickly becomes a task that is often heavily dependent upon effective data management. Through a combination of tools developed by Deloitte's securitization and TARDI practices, we can handle the complex tax and reporting needs of large pools of debt and debt securities. We are organized to assist our clients in this market and provide them with workable solutions to their tax accounting and information reporting needs. Our dedicated team of tax and securitization transactions personnel work with clients to Determine actual and/or estimated taxable income Interest Original issue discount (OID) Market discount (and premium should it exist) Loan modification Gain/loss on disposition ? Prepare and/or review tax information reports ? Develop personalized solutions based upon your specific needs We also can provide relevant and meaningful insights and guidance to clients with respect to the essential tax issues faced by investors focusing on this market. As a Business Analyst in this group, you will be responsible for?asset level due diligence, database management and preparation, collateral statistical analysis, reporting of transaction results, heavy client interaction. Specific responsibilities include - Analyze collateral attributes of residential mortgage loans, including product type, original- and remaining- amortization terms, seasoning and mortgage gross and net rates - Project and reconcile collateral cash flows using customized underlying assumptions at varying interest rate, prepayment rate and loss stress scenarios - Examine loan level collateral characteristics of residential mortgage pools, including credit scores, loan balances and original loan- to- value ratios through the use of collateral analysis software. - Restructure advanced features of various REMIC transactions, including Agency, Senior/Sub Shifting Interest and Overcollateralization structures - Remodel transaction specific distribution rules and priorities to assess tranche level performance and ensure accurate capital cash flow allocation
